About This Opportunity

GenWise GW Wizards is a three-week residential program designed for academically gifted students in Grades 8 to 10. Part of the Gifted Summer Program (GSP) hosted at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), it provides deep academic engagement through specialized courses taught by expert mentors in a device-free, immersive learning environment.

Students are identified through the Ei ASSET Talent Search (ATS), which assesses academic talent across multiple dimensions. Gold, Silver, and Bronze ATS scholars receive scholarship deductions on program fees. The program is open to students entering Grades 8, 9, or 10.

GW Wizards offers courses such as Neuroscience, Submarine Engineering, Astrophysics, Bicycle Engineering, Creative Writing, and Physics. Each course runs for 90 hours over three weeks. Beyond academics, students participate in sports, quizzes, cultural activities, and recreational events at one of India's premier university campuses.

As a founding member of the Gifted India Network alongside Northwestern Center for Talent Development and Educational Initiatives, GenWise models its programs on Johns Hopkins CTY and Northwestern CTD standards, adapted for the Indian context.

Fees & financial support

Fee details

Rs 1,80,000 (inclusive of 18% GST) for first-time participants. Returning students pay Rs 1,20,000. ATS scholarship deductions: Gold Scholar Rs 15,000, Silver Scholar Rs 10,000, Bronze Scholar Rs 5,000. Fee covers accommodation, meals, academic materials, and campus activities.

Financial support

ATS Gold, Silver, and Bronze scholars receive fee deductions. The Gifted World Scholarships program offers 150 scholarships (merit-based, merit-cum-need, and diversity-based) supported by The Godrej Foundation.
