Each nursery selects up to 25 players through these trials, who then train regularly under qualified coaches with access to mats, kits, and consumables provided by the state.
Beneficiaries receive a monthly scholarship of two thousand rupees if aged 8 to 14 years and three thousand rupees if aged 15 to 19 years, credited via direct benefit transfer. The state also provides one lakh rupees per year per school for sports equipment and consumables, and pathways to district, state, and national competitions through the wider Haryana sports ecosystem.
Applications for the wrestling discipline are submitted online through the Haryana Khel Nursery portal during the annual registration window, with selection results released after district-level trials.
