Academic requirement

About this opportunity
The Inspire Institute of Sport Scholarship is a fully funded residential programme offered by JSW Sports at India's first privately funded high-performance training centre, located on a 42-acre campus in Vijayanagar, Karnataka. The scholarship supports talented young athletes across Olympic disciplines, providing world-class infrastructure, international coaching, sports science, medical support, nutrition, mental conditioning and a tailor-made academic curriculum.
Scholarship athletes are selected through a Pan-India merit-based scouting programme conducted by IIS scouts and coaches across states, school games and federation events. The institute hosts in-house residential training programmes for athletics, boxing, judo, swimming, wrestling and football, and runs non-residential programmes for archery, rowing, kayaking and canoeing, squash and winter sports.
Selected athletes train alongside national-level peers in facilities certified by World Athletics for the athletics track and World Aquatics for the swimming pool. The campus has produced and supported athletes including Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, triple jumper Praveen Chithravel and world cadet judo champion Linthoi Chanabam, and is recognised by the Sports Authority of India as a Khelo India accredited centre for boxing and wrestling.
The scholarship covers all training, accommodation, academics, equipment, medical care and nutrition for the duration of an athlete's stay at IIS. Continuation depends on performance, conduct and progress against individualised athlete development plans, with the long-term goal of preparing athletes for senior national teams and Olympic and Paralympic competition.
