About This Opportunity
The International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) is a highly prestigious and intensive residential program, serving as the crucial fourth stage in India's multi-tiered Mathematical Olympiad program. Organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, IMOTC aims to identify, nurture, and prepare the brightest pre-university mathematical talent in the country.
Approximately 30-65 leading students who have excelled in the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) are invited to this month-long camp. The program focuses on significantly enhancing mathematical skills, deepening conceptual understanding, and developing advanced problem-solving abilities essential for IMO-level challenges.
Through high-level theoretical sessions, innovative problem-solving experiments, and a series of rigorous selection tests, participants are pushed to their intellectual limits. Expert academicians and mentors from various esteemed institutions across India provide personalized guidance.
Based on performance in these intensive tests, a final team of six students is meticulously selected to represent India at the International Mathematical Olympiad, bringing national pride to the global stage. This camp is not just about competition; it's about fostering a deep love for mathematics and building a community of future mathematical leaders. The IMOTC is a critical step for students aspiring to represent India at the International Mathematical Olympiad, offering unparalleled training and exposure.
