About This Opportunity

The International Neuroscience Olympiad (INO) is a global research-based competition designed to inspire young minds in the field of neuroscience. It emphasizes understanding contemporary neuroscience, applying theoretical concepts to real-world problems, and fostering active involvement in research. The Olympiad aims to cultivate critical qualities such as creativity, critical thinking, and analytical skills, which are essential across all scientific disciplines.

This competition is open to students enrolled in a recognized high school, secondary school, or homeschool program, including accredited online programs. College freshmen are also eligible if they meet the age requirements. Participants must be under 19 years old as of December 30th, 2025. Age verification may be required using official documentation.

Participants will gain an enhanced academic profile, which is valuable for admissions to reputed colleges and universities both in India and abroad. The competition helps develop crucial skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and application-based learning. Winners receive specialized research opportunities with faculty from top universities and opportunities for media exposure.

The INO is a unique initiative that moves beyond rote memorization, encouraging hands-on engagement with real-world challenges. It provides an international platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills based on ongoing neuroscientific research.
