About This Opportunity
The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium in Bengaluru conducts a state-level science quiz competition in Kannada, specifically designed for high school students. This initiative aims to ignite and enhance interest in science among young minds by challenging their understanding of scientific concepts, problem-solving abilities, and application of scientific principles, rather than just rote memorization of facts and figures.
This competition is open to students currently studying in the 8th, 9th, and 10th standards in government high schools across Karnataka state. Participants must register individually for the initial online test, and later stages may involve team participation. Proper school identification is required for verification at various stages of the competition.
Participants will gain valuable knowledge in science and develop critical thinking skills. Top performers receive attractive cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. All students who clear the first online stage with over 70% marks will be awarded an e-certificate, recognizing their achievement and encouraging their scientific pursuits.
The quiz features a comprehensive five-stage structure, progressing from an online multiple-choice test to written exams and team-based oral quizzes at divisional and state levels. The final stage is held in Bengaluru, bringing together the brightest young scientific minds from across Karnataka.
