About this opportunity
The Karnataka Badminton Association Junior Badminton Coaching Program is a structured coaching initiative for young badminton players, delivered at KBA's indoor stadium in Bengaluru under the state's official badminton governing body.
Coaching batches are open to children aged 8 to 18 years, with sessions held several days a week within KBA's daily coaching window. Training is overseen by KBA's coaching staff, led by Chief Coach Anup Sridhar, an Olympian and Arjuna Award recipient, and follows a beginner-to-professional progression.
Participants build foundational technique, footwork, and match play skills, with opportunities to progress toward district and state ranking tournaments conducted by the association. KBA also identifies talented players from its batches and district camps for further state-level development.
Separately, KBA conducts an annual residential summer coaching camp in Bengaluru for rural players nominated by its affiliated District Badminton Associations, reserved for players already competing at the state ranking level.
