The Summer Fiesta is an annual month-long workshop programme conducted by National Bal Bhavan in New Delhi for children aged 5 to 16. The programme comprises more than thirty different activity streams across Creative Arts, Performing Arts, Science Activities and Sports. Disciplines offered in recent editions include Handicraft, Paper Mache, Painting, Stitchery, Folk Dance, Folk Music, Vocal Music, Drone Technology, Museum Techniques, Radio and Electronics, Calligraphy, Yoga and classical dance forms such as Odissi.
Children participate as members of National Bal Bhavan during the workshop period, working with in-house instructors and visiting practitioners. The programme is delivered in person on the Kotla Road campus and is structured around weekly themed sessions alongside daily activities.
The Summer Fiesta operates under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Annual membership is offered at a nominal fee, with full waivers extended to children from Economically Weaker Sections, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Divyang categories.
