The Foundations for a Legal Education (FLE) Certificate Course is a cohort-based online summer school offered by the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) division of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. The program is designed for high school students (grades 9-12) who want to build rigorous academic and legal thinking skills, regardless of whether they plan to pursue a career in law.
The FLE curriculum covers core competencies valued across law, policy, business, and public life: analytical reading of complex texts, identifying and evaluating arguments, persuasive written and oral communication, and foundational legal reasoning. Sessions are live and synchronous, conducted by NLSIU faculty and guest instructors.
Participants who successfully complete the program receive a Certificate of Completion from NLSIU. The program is conducted entirely online and open to students from schools across India.
