The Shanmukhananda Annual Music Competition - Hindustani Tabla is a prestigious classical percussion contest held annually by Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha in Mumbai. This specific sub-competition is for participants aged 10 to 15 years, categorized under Group I. Competitors present a prescribed Hindustani repertoire of Talas and compositions to a panel of expert judges. Open to all genders aged 10 to 15 years in Group I. Participants must submit proof of age with the entry form. Previous first prize winners in Group I are not eligible to re-enter the same group. Artistes listed on All India Radio or Doordarshan are also not permitted to participate. In-person attendance in Mumbai is mandatory.
