- Performance is limited to the allotted time slot as per competition schedule
- Instrument type (Violin, Veena, Flute, or other classical instrument) must be declared at registration
- Raga and composition selection must be declared before the performance begins
- Traditional attire is expected for all performers
- Judges' decision on ranking and prizes is final and binding
- Candidates who have previously won First Prize in the competition are not eligible to compete
- Participants must make their own arrangements for instruments and electronic tambura; mobile/tab applications for shruthi/metronome are permitted

- Participants are required to present a list of four Kritis (different Ragas) to the judges on the day of the competition, with two Kritis in Vilamba Kala. Brief Raga, Neraval, and Swara Prasthara are required.
