About This Opportunity
The SOF Defence Services Academician Scholarship (DSAS) is an annual initiative by the Science Olympiad Foundation. It aims to acknowledge and reward the academic achievements of students from Indian Defence Services and Internal Security Services families. This scholarship encourages young minds to develop an interest in Science and Mathematics as core subjects.
This scholarship is open to students enrolled in classes 1 to 10 in any recognized school across India. Applicants must be permanent residents of India and belong to a serving or retired Defence Services or Internal Security Services family. Each school can recommend one talented student for consideration.
Selected students will receive a one-time cash award of ₹5,000 and a merit certificate. This financial assistance provides a significant boost for their academic journey and recognizes their dedication and academic excellence. The scholarship aims to motivate students and foster their interest in STEM fields.
The selection of scholarship recipients is made by the SOF selection committee based on nominations submitted by schools. Schools are required to provide the student's previous year's mark sheet or other necessary documents for registration, certified by the principal.
