About this opportunity
The Subroto Memorial Scholarship Scheme is awarded by the Indian Air Force Benevolent Association (IAFBA) to the wards of serving, retired, and deceased Indian Air Force personnel. The scheme supports students from Class VI through to postgraduate studies and is granted on the basis of academic merit, with a minimum requirement of sixty per cent marks in all classes or semesters of the most recent qualifying examination.
The scholarship amount is awarded annually and varies by stage of study. School-going dependents in the WiWit cohort receive ten thousand rupees per annum from KG to Class VIII, fifteen thousand rupees per annum for Classes IX and X, and twenty thousand rupees per annum for Classes XI and XII. Higher amounts apply for undergraduate, professional undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional postgraduate programmes.
Applications are submitted by post to the Secretary of the IAF Benevolent Association at AFGIS Bhavan, Subroto Park, New Delhi. Applications for general courses must reach the office by 30 September each year, while applications for professional courses may be submitted up to 31 October. Required documents include the most recent marksheet, a copy of the student's bank passbook, and the Pension Payment Order in the case of retired personnel.
