About This Opportunity
The Young Equity Analyst (YEA) program by the New York Institute of Finance is an intensive 2-week live virtual experience designed for high school students aged 15-18. It aims to help students understand how professional equity analysts evaluate companies and build investment portfolios, delivered through rigorous analytical training and direct instruction from NYIF faculty.
Participants will learn industry analysis, financial statement analysis, time-value-of-money calculations, and stock valuation using Warren Buffett's approach. The curriculum also covers market cycles, technical analysis, portfolio diversification, and ESG investing, culminating in a practical portfolio analysis project.
