Academic requirement

Currently enrolled in grades 8 to 12. Students of Class 10 can participate in either the Junior (Grades 8-10) or Senior (Grades 10-12) division.

The Young Innovators Program is open to school students across India currently enrolled in classes 8 to 12. Participants are required to form teams of 2-3 members from the same school. Individual participation might be permitted in specific editions. A coordinating teacher from the school must be nominated by the principal to manage registrations and submissions. Students in Class 10 have the flexibility to choose between the Junior (Grades 8-10) or Senior (Grades 10-12) divisions.

Rounds & format

Round 1: Online abstract submission of project ideas. Round 2 (Semifinal): Top teams are invited to IIT Kharagpur to exhibit and demonstrate their models/prototypes and charts, evaluated by IIT professors.
