The Film and Television Institute of India is an autonomous educational institution under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The institute is dedicated to film and television education, training, and research. FTII offers postgraduate programs across film direction, cinematography, editing, sound, screenplay writing, acting, and television production. The institute draws students from across India and abroad. Through its Centre for Open Learning (CFOL), FTII conducts short courses and workshops for children, beginners, and working professionals at its Pune campus and at outreach centres across the country.
