About this opportunity
The Basic Course in Digital Filmmaking for Children is an on-campus short course offered at the FTII Pune campus through the Centre for Open Learning (CFOL). The course introduces young learners to the craft and aesthetics of cinema in a simple, structured format.
Participants explore the basics of filmmaking techniques and applications, including the fundamentals of storytelling. Sessions are designed to be hands-on so that children engage with the creative processes behind movie-making.
The course is open to children aged 11 to 18 who have passed the 6th standard, with consideration in exceptional cases for those who have completed 5th standard. The medium of instruction is mainly English with some Hindi.
Each batch is limited to a maximum of 22 participants, with two seats reserved for children of FTII staff. Selection is on a first-come-first-served basis once applications and fees are received.
