About This Opportunity
The Bebras India Computational Thinking Challenge is the Indian chapter of the worldwide Bebras Challenge, an international computational thinking competition organised in over 80 countries. In India, the challenge is administered by Bebras India under ACM India's CSpathshala initiative and is offered to school students aged 8 to 19 across five age groups.
The challenge presents short, fun computational thinking tasks called Bebras tasks. Each task is multiple-choice and is designed around problems that computer scientists enjoy solving, such as problem decomposition, pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking, without requiring any prior programming knowledge.
The Bebras India challenge is conducted in twelve Indian languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Bodo, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, with language-specific age-group coverage.

Open to school students aged 8 to 19 across India, with five age groups in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati; four age groups in Bengali, Punjabi, and Odia; and three age groups in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil. A first-year undergraduate category for ages 17-19 is offered in English.
