About this opportunity
TED-Ed Student Talks is a free program from TED-Ed that helps students turn a personal idea into a TED-style talk. Facilitators in schools, clubs, and youth organizations around the world use a structured curriculum to guide the process from idea to delivery.
The program is open to students ages 6 to 18, guided by an adult educator or program leader who applies on behalf of their group. Educators can be classroom teachers, club leaders, librarians, or homeschool parents, and each application covers one group of participants.
Participants build public speaking, idea development, and active listening skills across thirteen guided Explorations organized into Discover, Develop, and Share phases. Groups can showcase their talks at a TED-Ed Student Talks Showcase event, connect with peer groups in other countries, or submit strong talks to TED-Ed for review.
Approved facilitators receive twelve months of access to a Facilitator Guidebook and a Student Idea Journal, along with video tutorials and a community of fellow facilitators. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed three times each year, and the resources remain completely free of charge.
