About

Nehru Science Centre Mumbai is India's largest interactive science centre, spanning an eight-acre campus with over five hundred hands-on exhibits covering energy, sound, kinematics, mechanics, transport and other branches of science and technology. The centre operates as the Western Zone Headquarters of the National Council of Science Museums and serves as a flagship institution for informal science education in the country. The centre runs a comprehensive calendar of educational activities for school students, teachers and the general public. Programmes include vacation creative science workshops, the Innovation Hub Tech Lab, demonstrations, astronomy olympiads, sky observation, science seminars, teacher training and youth competitions across disciplines such as robotics, electronics, artificial intelligence, aeromodelling and tinkering. The campus also features the world's first Science Park, established in 1979, alongside thematic galleries on aviation, nuclear power, evolution and human-machine interaction, plus a 3D Science Show theatre and a planetarium dome for public sky viewing sessions.
