About this opportunity
Craftopia is an annual summer craft camp organised by the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art for children. It offers a curated series of ten hands-on workshops in which young participants learn a range of traditional Indian craft techniques.
Each workshop is led by practising artists and educators, and explores a different craft form such as jute work, clay and pottery, cane weaving, textile stitching, natural dyes and puppetry. All craft materials are provided, and the programme includes curated museum walkthroughs.
The camp is designed for school-age children and requires no prior craft experience. Sessions run for around two hours each day across consecutive weekdays.
Through making and creating, children develop fine motor skills, creativity and an appreciation of India's craft and cultural heritage in a guided, museum-based setting.
