Discover, in WiWit
Opportunities open and close all year, and most are not for your child. Discover shows the ones that fit your child's age, interests and dreams, one at a time, each one checked before it appears. You look, then save it or skip it.
Where it lives
- 1Discover, in the bar at the bottom.
- 2Your child's name. Tap it to switch to another child, or to add one.
- 3Best matches for Meera: the deck for this child.
- 4One card is one opportunity. The next one waits underneath.
- 5Search, when you already have something in mind.
1.What a card shows
- 1The kind of opportunity: a competition, scholarship, camp, workshop, course, program, exam or event.
- 2Closes in 5 days: shown only when registration is about to close.
- 3The name of the opportunity.
- 4Free, For girls, Online or In-person, when they apply.
- 5Reward: what your child gets from it.
- 6Skip, Share and Save. The same three as the swipes.
2.Save, skip and undo
- Swipe left, or tap Skip: the next card comes.
- Swipe right, or tap Save: the details open. Tap Confirm save there.
- Undo appears right after either. Tap it to bring the card back.
A save says Saved for Meera and names the date WiWit reminds you before. Everything you save goes to Prepare, with its deadline watched.
3.The details
- 1The key facts: Your child gets, Register by, Fee, Format and Event starts.
- 2Registration link opens the organizer's own site in your browser. That is where you register.
- 3Is this for my child?, What's the benefit?, How to apply. Tap one to open it.
- 4After a right swipe: Confirm save, with the reminder WiWit will send.
When the dates are not announced yet, the card says Registration expected with the month, from earlier years. Save it, and the confirmed dates reach your saved card once announced.
4.Search
- 1Type what you have in mind: a subject, a sport, a kind of opportunity.
- 2Your last searches.
- 3A result: Save and Share on the right, the same as the deck.
Search shows everything, including what you skipped.
Frequently asked questions
I skipped something by mistake.
Tap Undo right after the swipe. Later, search for it by name: search shows everything, including what you skipped, and you can save it from the result.
Why is there no date on the card?
The card shows a date only when registration is about to close. Tap the card: the details show Register by and Event starts.
Can I register through WiWit?
No. Registration link opens the organizer's own website, and you register there. WiWit takes no registration and no payment for any opportunity.
I have more than one child.
Tap your child's name at the top to switch, or to add a child. Each child has a separate deck, matched to that child's age, interests and dreams.
