Prepare, in WiWit

A missed date is the most common way a good opportunity is lost. Prepare keeps every date for your child in one list: the deadlines of what you saved, the reminders you set, and the dates a class sends. WiWit reminds you before each one.

Where it lives

  1. 1Prepare, in the bar at the bottom. An amber dot on it means something needs you.
  2. 2Upcoming, Saved and Classes, at the top. Classes has its own page.
  3. 3Set reminder: a reminder or a note of your own.
  4. 4Needs your attention: a reminder whose time has passed, or a class waiting for a reply.
  5. 5One list, in date order: the next date of every saved opportunity, your own reminders, and dates from a class. Tap a row to open it.
  6. 6Past and Checklist for Meera, where the dates run out.

1.Your own reminders and notes

Tap Set reminder. A school form, a fee date, a practice day: anything in your own words.

  1. 1What it is.
  2. 2Remind me on a date. Leave it off to keep a note without a date, under Your notes.
  3. 3The day and the time.
  4. 4An early reminder too, if you want one.
  5. 5Which child, or All children. Shown only with more than one child.
  6. 6Set reminder. It reaches your phone at that time, with your own words.

Tap a reminder in the list to edit it, Mark done, or delete it.

2.Saved: what you chose

  1. 1Closing this week: what needs a decision now.
  2. 2The next date for this opportunity.
  3. 3Mark registered, once you have registered on the organizer's site.
  4. 4Share sends it on WhatsApp. Remove takes it off the list and stops its reminders.
  5. 5Registered: the card now shows the event date, and WiWit reminds you before the event instead of the deadline.

3.Checklist for your child

At the end of Upcoming: the things every child needs done at the right age, worked out from your child's date of birth.

  1. 1Each group says what is coming up, or All up to date.
  2. 2An item says Around which month. Tick it when done, or tap the bell to set a reminder for it.

4.The reminders that reach your phone

For every opportunity you save, WiWit reminds you three times before registration closes: three days before, the day before, and on the day.

  • After Mark registered, Event begins in 7 days and Event begins tomorrow arrive instead.
  • Your Notification hours in Settings hold other notifications until your hours begin. A saved opportunity closing within a day always comes through.

Frequently asked questions

I registered. Do I still get reminders?

Tap Mark registered on the saved card. The closing reminders stop, and WiWit reminds you before the event instead: a week before and the day before.

Where did my reminder go after its time?

If you did not mark it done, it waits under Needs your attention at the top of Upcoming. Once you tap Mark done, it moves to Past.

A reminder did not reach my phone.

Open Settings, then Notifications. Turn on notifications and Deadline reminders. On Android, WiWit may also ask for permission to ring right on time. Allow it.

I have more than one child.

The name at the top chooses the child. On Upcoming, All children shows every date of the family together, and a reminder can be for one child or for all.
